Fifty Years? Of Course!

Walking through our showroom today and seeing furniture and designs, from the companies that have been with us from the beginning, I think of a quote from Erik Magnussen, the designer of the Stelton thermos, who said, "I want people to look at my designs thinking, Of Course!" I look at the Siesta chair by Ingmar Relling, that I first saw in the Nomadic Furniture section of the Whole Earth Catalog, years before the idea of opening a furniture store crossed my mind. The Siesta chair today has barely changed from what it was then, and I think, Of Course! I look at the original Stressless chair, that went into production one year before we opened Design Quest, that has evolved continuously, increasing seating comfort, and inspiring sofas and sectionals, and I think, Of Course! Our customers, i.e. our friends, tell us how pleased they are and how much they still enjoy furniture they purchased 25 or more years ago, and I think, Of Course! 

And it is because of friends like you, our many excellent manufacturers, and our uncompromising quest for quality and design that we can say: Fifty years? Of Course!
