Corridor® 8179: This flexible design pairs warm, architecturally inspired wood louvers with a cool, satin-tempered glass top and durable steel base.
It’s hard to take your eyes off something this practical. While the clean and classic design of the Corridor 8179 — which easily transitions from dedicated media cabinet, to all-purpose furniture piece — is certainly hard to miss, its elegant practicality is what really turns heads.
Soundbar Platform: A perfectly positioned soundbar shelf integrates a speaker — and full sound dispersion — into the overall design.
Flow-Through Ventilation: Ventilation slots in the bottom panels, back panels, and shelves promote airflow, ensuring that components stay protected, but never stifled.
Removable Back Panels: The back of the cabinet is as accessible as the front, via ventilated rear panels that can slide or be completely removed for access to components. At least one back panel - typically at the center - is fixed to provide structural support.
Satin-Etched Glass: This highly durable opaque glass has an unbelievably soft finish that provides protection from dings, scratches, and even fingerprints.
Hidden Wheels: Concealed wheels make the cabinet easy to move – and cables and connections easy to access – while preserving the clean lines of the durable steel base.
Safety Matters: The included safety strap easily installs to tether a TV to the back of the cabinet, minimizing the risk of accidental falls.

About BDI: True Design combines function, innovation, and style. For twenty-five years, that has been BDI’s passion.
In 1984, Bill Becker had a vision of making great Design available to everyone. Frustrated by the ‘trade only’ distribution of the best designed contemporary home furnishings, Bill was inspired to build a company that could develop and manufacture Designs that would actually be accessible. Twenty-five years later, BDI has become a force in contemporary home furnishings and an industry leader in home theater furniture.
In BDI, you'll find a collection of furniture pieces that are unique, functional and great looking. Their Home Theater furniture is engineered to meet the demanding needs of today's electronics, and do so while enriching the home and the home theater experience. BDI was the first to introduce innovations such as hidden wheels, adjustable shelves, cable management and flow-through ventilation as standard features. A BDI Home Theater system successfully merges functional innovation with original and exciting Design.
This cabinet is well-made and looks fantastic in my living room. It's a functional statement piece. Found the adjustable shelving to be quite useful, too, for a gaming console. Just love it! (Delivery from Design Quest was also top notch.)
