Majestic lines and inviting contours
Hans Bunde originally created Penguin in 1954, one for each of his daughters. Penguin is available in three
sizes, mini, small and large. It is handcrafted in silky smooth beech and uniquely nuanced wenge wood. The
fine lines that appear naturally in wenge wood will get less noticeable over time and will uphold its
majestic appearance. Depending on how you arrange the Penguins – and whether they appear as singles or as
a flock – they elegantly symbolize family ties, friendship and love.

ARCHITECTMADE specializes in the production and promotion of products designed by architects from the 1950’s and 60’s. The architects are characterized by their simple and clean designs, in which form and aesthetics play a key role. The products are handmade in the highest possible quality and are sold in leading design stores throughout the world.
The ARCHITECTMADE Connection The ARCHITECTMADE collection is comprised of design objects designed by Denmark’s most recognized architects such as Utzon, Kjærholm, Juhl, Vedel and Karpf.
Often these architects' ideas are seated deep within their heart, until finally they see the light of day. According to Kristian Vedel, the ideas from the inside emerged and developed over a period of time until he simply couldn’t help it. He simply had to execute them by bringing his designs to life in order to share his ideas and passion with others.
All of the architects, represented by ARCHITECTMADE, have designed their objects with firm belief in simple and sophisticated aesthetics, while positioning functionality at their core. This process resulted in a clear crystallization and conceptualization of the product in its purest, simplest and most refined form. This is the key characteristic of the essence of Modern Danish design, which all of ARCHITECMADE products encompass.
