Skovby is known for timeless Danish craftsmanship furniture with that little something extra – and the dining table #115 is no exception. Designed by Per Haansbæk, the table is inspired by the oblong-shaped silhouette (rectangular with rounded corners), which is not only aesthetically appealing but also functionally superior.
The SM115 is a wide, oval-shaped table featuring a centrally placed pedestal base and a patented synchronous extension system. The tabletop is split down the middle and can easily be pulled apart, causing the hidden extension leaves – stored in the base – to automatically pop up and unfold. This allows the table to expand from 210 to 280 cm, providing space for 2–4 additional guests, accommodating up to 12 people in total.
