Thumbnail Filmstrip of Le Klint THE BOUQUET Chandelier - Medium, 5 Shades Images
Description
The original Bouquet Chandelier idea came to Sinja Svarrer Damkjær, while she was on a study trip in Italy. THE BOUQUET is a symbolic memory of the designer’s observation while watching, flower handlers in an Italian market.
Sinja became fascinated as she watched how, as tulip bundles, were being loosely tied, the beautiful blossoming flower heads would then automatically hang downwards, then sway and bend creating a natural soft curve.
These modern Chandeliers suspend from a braided linen cord that highlights the organic tone of the design. Re-sized pendant shades in bundles of three, five and seven have been intricately pleated into precise and pristine pleating, by hand. The pendants suspend from a braided linen cord to enhance the organic tone of the design and emphasize the soft expression of how flower petals unfold in springtime.
The single pendant has all the intricate features of the chandelier,
but with a single linen cord that helps to give you a more detailed
vision of a single flower, either growing up from the ground or before
the long flower stem is placed into a slender vase.

LE KLINT is a lighting company established in 1943, but the story of the company dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when a hand pleated lamp shade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering P.V. Jensen-Klint. They have ever since maintained their original concept but they are constantly seeking to develop within modern times.
