Additional Features
Porcelain: Keeping its beauty – straight into the dishwasher. The great advantage of bone china lies not only in its exceptionally pure color, but also in its remarkable strength. This allows Fine Bone China to be crafted with an especially thin profile, which makes the delicate designs in the Klatt Objects collection possible. Despite their slender silhouettes, even the most intricate pieces are surprisingly robust and easy to care for.
There is no need to worry about discoloration: all Klatt Objects vases, bowls and vessels – whether their surfaces are glazed or unglazed with a softly sanded matte finish – can simply be cleaned in the dishwasher. This also applies to the delicate weaves of the GAZE series and the grid structure of the HANA flower‑arranging dish.
Stubborn organic stains can often be removed with a little lemon, soda or a gentle cleaner with a mild bleaching effect (for example, bathroom cleaners containing chlorine or mould removers).
Other superficial stains on matte, unglazed porcelain, such as marks caused by color transfer, can usually be removed easily with a scouring sponge, a dirt eraser, a mild scouring cream, or very fine sandpaper.
To clean the interior, you can, if needed, use denture cleaning tablets or standard hygiene cleaners, although in most cases a regular dishwasher cycle is sufficient. Treated with this kind of care, Klatt Objects pieces will retain their beauty for a lifetime.
Tip: Cut flowers love clean water, so always thoroughly clean vases and vessels. All Klatt Objects porcelain pieces – even more elaborate designs such as the RHIZOM vase – can simply be placed in the dishwasher.
Vendor Info
Klatt Objects has been a lifestyle brand for selected, responsible design art since 2020. Conscious, cosmopolitan, and deeply rooted in the earth. Its founder, designer, and curator, Detlef Klatt, brings more than 30 years of experience in floristry, design, production, publishing, and retail, all grounded in a strong connection to nature. The multifaceted collections span home accessories, vases, vessels, bowls, decorative objects, and one‑of‑a‑kind pieces crafted from porcelain, wood, shells, and various natural materials. Each collectible from these carefully conceived small series stands confidently on its own and, in creative arrangements, becomes a statement of a distinctive, self-assured personality.
Stylistically, the brand bears the unmistakable signature of Detlef Klatt, who, perhaps more than anyone else, knows how to unite Japanese and Nordic design approaches with the authenticity of traditional Philippine craftsmanship. The sophisticated in‑house collection is complemented by paintings and selected objects from international artists whom Detlef Klatt encounters on his travels.
“As a unifying element, my designs reflect the different influences that have shaped me over the course of my work. Above all, these are the simple, nature‑oriented design approaches of Japan and Northern Europe, but also Philippine craftsmanship and my own origins.” – Detlef Klatt
Launched in 2020, Klatt Objects has quickly grown into a brand people truly love. Today, Klatt Objects pieces are sold and cherished in more than 40 countries across Europe and overseas.
In 2024, the RHIZOM vase, part of the collection since the very beginning, was honored with the German Design Award.
