Eco-Friendly Modern Lighting by Tom Rossau
Self taught Danish designer Tom Rossau started his career in the basement of
his parent’s house in Faarevejle, Denmark. Since 2004 Tom has worked mainly
with natural wood veneers and in 2006 introduced his lighting designs to a
broader audience at Copenhagen Furniture Fair, where the TR7 pendant light received
the “Audience Favorite Award”.
Tom Rossau is a lighting designer who uses primarily wood veneers to create
soft, sculptural pendants and lamps. The main wood used is birch which
comes from managed forests in Finland, and the rest of the wood comes
from an Italian supplier. The natural wood tones soften the harsh light and
create a calming mood, and they’re even lovely to look at when the lights
are not on!
