The Trinidad Chair is one of Nanna Ditzel’s greatest
successes. Designed in 1993, it has long since achieved the status of
modern classic. The distinctive chair takes its name from the island of
Trinidad, whose traditional fretwork techniques inspired Ditzel. The
characteristic fan-shaped carvings of seat and back produce a light,
summery effect that gracefully interacts with the light play in the room.
The Trinidad Chair won the 1995 ID (Industrial Design) Award.
Trinidad is available as a side chair or arm chair. The Trinidad sidechair
may be stacked eight high.
