DESIGN QUEST FURNITURE COMPETITION - Thursday, October 16,2008
Entries of original furniture designs in the form of drawings, scale models, prototypes, or photos of
prototypes, may be submitted anytime, to Design Quest, up to Sept 7, 2008. Entrants will be notified of their
acceptance by Sept 12th, 2008. There is no limit on material, number of entries per designer, or type of
furniture. However, the furniture must function as furniture. Furniture accepted for the exhibit must be
delivered no later than Thursday, October 9, 2008.
Opening reception will be on Thursday, October 16, 2008, 6 to 8 pm, at Design Quest, with live music and
refreshments. Judging will take place between 6:30 and 7:30 pm, during the opening reception.
Awards will be handed out at 7:30 pm.
- Grand Prize* - $1000.00
- Second prize - $500.00
- Third prize - $300.00
- People's choice prize - $200.00
*To be eligible for Grand Prize, a physical prototype is required.
The exhibit will be on display until Sunday, November 30, 2008. Designers are responsible for the delivery and removal of their
entries. If unpacking and packing assistance is needed contact us. Design Quest will cover property insurance on each entry while
it is at Design Quest.
