The Airdance Mobile is an elegant performer available in Natural or Patina
finish. It is a full-movement, outdoor mobile, composed of copper vanes
with curved brass armatures. The metal panels align with the breeze and
the central copper tube, suspended inside the brass rings, stabilizes the
mobile allowing it to still move gracefully in stronger winds.
The copper vanes of the Airdance Natural are heat-treated to
bring out colors in the metal. This effect is acheived by heating and
rapidly cooling the metal resulting in the instant appearance of luscious
hues on the metal surface.
The Airdance Patina is finished with a blue-green patina that changes its
appearance dramatically. The Patina coloration is often chosen to be
placed near a water setting such as a pool or to add a Mediterranean feel
to a home.
The mobile is lacquered to preserve the finish and then carefully hand-packaged, signed and
dated by the artist Joel Hotchkiss and is fully assembled, ready to hang!
