AVION SERIES II
Who says that you can’t improve on a classic? For years, the Avion
collection has delighted AV enthusiasts and interior design connoisseurs
alike. Now BDI’s award-winning Avion collection has evolved to the next
generation of home theater excellence with AVION SERIES II. Full of the
features that you have come to expect from the Avion collection, Series
II introduces some notable innovations.
When first introduced, Avion set the gold standard for quality home
theater cabinetry. In addition to new model configurations, Avion Series II
enhancements include a linear, satin stainless steel base that complements
the cabinet and provides superior structural rigidity, the addition of
soft-close doors, larger windows in the doors to allow greater IR
capabilities, and more generous cable management channels.
Avion Noir 8937 is complete with all of the features you would expect
from a cabinet bearing the AVION name. Grey tinted glass doors span the
front of the cabinet to conceal and protect a complete home theater
system while allowing remote-control access. The top center drawer’s
glass panel can be replaced with the supplied fabric insert, enabling use
with a center channel speaker. Offered in Black Stained Oak.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
Concealed Speaker Compartment: Designed for use with a
center channel speaker, this compartment may be a drawer or a shelf that
includes a speaker-fabric panel front, allowing the speaker’s sound to
come through. Select models allow the drawer to be removed completely,
revealing a finished shelf that allows for larger speakers.
Hidden Wheels: Hidden wheels make adding a
component or changing a connection easy. Even fully loaded, you can
move your system away from the wall for easy access to cables and
connections.
Integrated Levelers: Floors can be quite uneven and your home
theater needs to be level for optimum performance. Easily adjustable
levelers compensate for minor leveling issues in flooring or correct minor
panel-alignment issues.
Cable Management: BDI home theater furniture is engineered to
keep the usual tangle of cables and connections neatly under control.
Cabinets feature removable back panels for easy access to the rear of
components. Integrated routing channels provide space for speaker and
TV cables to be neatly concealed. Open TV stands feature a back panel
with generous cable-routing openings. Whichever model is chosen, the
user can gather and secure all cables out of sight by using the supplied
Velcro® closures.
Adjustable Shelves: Adjustable shelves allow you to
configure your system to accommodate larger components. Shelves rest
on unique steel shelf pins, which are rubber-padded to minimize vibration
of components, and high-quality threaded inserts allow you to readjust
shelf positioning as needed.
Ventilation: Components not only need to look cool,
they need to stay cool. Flow-through ventilation promotes air flow,
prolonging component life.
Tempered Glass: BDI's glass shelves are virtually shatterproof, allowing
you to use them for bulkier components without giving it a second thought.
IR-Friendly Glass: Grey tinted glass doors and windows keep
components out of sight yet are compatible with the Infrared (IR) signals
used by many remote controls.
Removable Back Panel: BDI builds cabinets in a unique way so
that the backs can be removed effortlessly for easy access to components
and connections. Need to accommodate a very deep component? The back
panel can be left off the cabinet without sacrificing any structural rigidity,
allowing the component to extend from the back as needed. |

BDI:
True Design combines function, innovation, and style. For twenty-five years, that has been BDI’s passion.
In 1984, Bill Becker had a vision of making great Design available to everyone. Frustrated by the ‘trade only’ distribution of the best designed contemporary home furnishings, Bill was inspired to build a company that could develop and manufacture Designs that would actually be accessible. Twenty-five years later, BDI has become a force in contemporary home furnishings and an industry leader in home theater furniture.
In BDI, you'll find a collection of furniture pieces that are unique, functional and great looking. Their Home Theater furniture is engineered to meet the demanding needs of today's electronics, and do so while enriching the home and the home theater experience. BDI was the first to introduce innovations such as hidden wheels, adjustable shelves, cable management and flow-through ventilation as standard features. A BDI Home Theater system successfully merges functional innovation with original and exciting Design.
